President Donald Trump's United States of America

Trump sure treats his friends and allies well...

Globalization is dead. It's every country for itself now.

Indeed.

I would support excommunicating the US from NATO and other economic treatise. I would also support the cessation of USMCA until things get under control.

What I am hoping for is that bankers and large corporations will move from US institutions to London and Frankfurt in response to all this but that likely will not happen.

It is worth noting that the DJIA is tanking this morning. Numbers don't lie and Trump is causing alot of pain for Americans at the moment.

So much for freedom of speech and all that
Trump's support comes the from the nearly 68% of eligible American who either voted for him (32%) or couldn't GAF either way so skipped the vote (36%). These 68% of Americans have abandoned Ukraine, the USA's allies, trading partners and friends, the free and democratic world, and sided with dictators and turned US foreign policy into a volatile transactional marketplace where you'll deal with anyone, no matter who they are, what they do or what they stand for, provided there is short-term gain. Those 68% of Americans had the power in their hands to take a different direction, this is on them. How has the country of Ronald Reagan, where America was the leader of the free world and a beacon of hope for so many come to this?

What we need is another Vietnam.

The US needs to be knocked down a peg and shown that there are consequences for their actions. Once they become isolated and ostracized on the global stage one would hope they get the hint. Unfortunately, this is America and the bumpkins would likely see it as an attack on their sovereignty, blame everyone else and arm themselves to the teeth in the name of patriotism.
