At least we know the house is in her name, not Deco's or Doug's or Diane's. I'm just hoping someone in the media tries to find out what Karla is doing at Deco to draw a salary. I'm sure there are employees or former employees dying to tell them.

The fact that this property is not listed with a realtor makes it look like a cheap stunt, like someone is trying to save realtor fees or trying to attract attention.

Why in the world do you need a realtor to sell Rob Fords house? All they needed was a tacky sign and It's already publicized over the news. Some fanatic or investor with too much money on hand either wants to insanely overpay on market value or not. They may have a number in mind and just seeing If they can get it.

Possibly giving the family too much credit and they may be playing games or simply desperate but this home is far too iconic to not sell itself.

This isn't seinfeld where George bought a car simply because he thought it was Jon Voghts. The house may very well sell but it isn't because your hero who drove drunk, was racist, coached football instead of showing up for work, did Crack, beat his wife and promised you a subway, lived there once.

A google search of the number turns up several reverse lookup hits, with a Z Farah at the address 320 Dixon. As to whether that's legit or not, I don't know. But I suspect that's where people got the idea.

That said, it could be that that's a previously Rob Ford-supplied landline, as I seem to remember something about Rob paying some of the bills for the Bassos. It wouldn't surprise me if Rob paid for stuff for other friends.

It could also be that Renata's moved out of the house to stay with friends during all of this. I can't imagine she and the kids make the best impression on serious home buyers. And as she tends to avoid the public eye, she probably wants to avoid the lookie-lous who may come to the house under the guise of legitimate buyers, the press, and the Ford family in general.

I think he really trusted his family with his share of the wealth, and expected one day he'd share in it when Diane passes. That said, the dice rolled another way.

It also wouldn't be surprising if the family kept him on a very short financial leash, knowing the addiction issues and whatnot. Can't pawn stuff off for drug money if you don't explicitly own it right?

I've seen speculation reignited over whether Deco is, in fact, a "front for something", i.e. the old hash dealer never totally forgot his true business roots...
