@alexanderglista Why stop at a CLRV ............why not buy your own railway?
I'd prefer to see this line active, providing it made the remotest economic sense to do so.
Absent that, however, I insist the route be retained as a recreational trail.
I see musings about considering that in the above article; though those certainly fall short of a clear commitment.
I presume there are yards and such that could be disposed of; but I think the focus should be on preserving the corridor as a recreational asset.
It would make for a nice trail/access point to Forks of the Credit Provincial Park..............
Best of both worlds. Wolfville, Nova Scotia literally buried the old tracks with gravel for a trail, but also for easy rail reactivation. View attachment 289779
If I had the money, you bet I would. Going to fight tooth and nail to try to save it however.
