Maldive's Excellent Future Skyline Rendering.

Re: rendering update

SSP = skyscraperpages.com. The UrbanToronto forum started when many Torontonians on that forum became tired of the types of discussion and anti-Toronto sentiment that forum seemed to allow.

Yes, we were like the pilgrims... only with less germ warfare.

Re: rendering update

I didn't even know that's how UT got started. Very interesting. UT is good.

Thanks Bogtrotter, city vs. city?!? Alot of people did not like Toronto?

There were city vs city postings which were not very kind to Toronto. There was also a vocal Toronto contingent on that site which beat everybody else over the head with how wonderful the city is. A bit of animosity ensued.

:rollin

The city vs city threads must have really rubbed you the wrong way too 3D seeing as a sentence which didn't actually claim anything set you off. Its sad to see another person traumatized for life over their experiences at SSP. Do you wake up with a cold sweat and recite "Toronto is big enough, good enough, and damn it people like Toronto" over and over like I do? :D

Only when I forget to renew my prescription.

Re: rendering update

... warning newbie.... some of us are still alive.

If there is one ounce of insincerity in your "..didn't like Toronto?" wide-eyed comment...

... you will be found and you will be shot... after the obligatory torture.

It doesn't matter if you live in Melbourne, Chi-town or TimBUCKStoo... we'll find you.

BTW, since you'll be dead... here are your killers (SSP survivors):

GEEKYboy (still here with a new nom de plomme/plum whatever)

BILLYcorgan (aka BC) better known as the sperm-donor that fertilized the UT phenomenom.

3D (yours truly).

If in fact you are the real thing and have no other agenda, none of this will make sense and.......

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!

Now that everyone has left. Its a lot less anti Toronto than it was back in the day.

That would have been about 3 - 4 years ago.. Thats how long I've been posting here and there. I think...

:\

Not that I didn't fully support the Toronto contingent btw. I just wasn't that vocal.

Just curious- is there anybody here that used to be on Dylan Leblanc's skyscraper site from years back? From what I can tell, he was the first person to have an online open forum on tall buildings..?

Bog:

SSP = skyscraperpages.com. The UrbanToronto forum started when many Torontonians on that forum became tired of the types of discussion and anti-Toronto sentiment that forum seemed to allow.

To be clear, (typos aside) this is the site being discussed.

Did Dylan have a site pre-SSP? I'm trying to remember something from that period...
