Spotted these "cubes" on Lakeshore East between Danforth and Union today - are these foundations for the OCS infrastructure and are they a recent installation? Thanks

Correct. What is OCS infrastructure? Overhead Catenary System?
^^ Nice pics. How old are the shots? I'm surprised at how little snow there seems to be on the corridor despite the recent major snowfalls.
Thanks! They were taken on Sunday. There aren't many tall buildings next to the corridor, so when the sun is out, it gets a lot of exposure. Plus the rain and above 0 days have helped with melting pretty much all of it here.
It's interesting also just how much the movement of trains does blow the snow off the tracks. It sure looked like deep snow back when we had the blizzard(s), but the main lines that see frequent or long trains cleared back to bare track quite quickly.

I would suggest (but don't know) that this indicates the snow was manually removed where it was in the way.
I was hoping the four existing bridges would be replaced this summer following the LSE track shift that “should” occur by the end of April. It felt as if the two bridge extensions took about six months last year before the two tracks were realigned in November.^I am confident that there will be a track shift on LSE to get the two tracks on their new alignment, but as I have been looking at @kotsy 's great aerial photos, I have been wondering if the restoration of the third track will have to wait for some further roadbed and bridge construction. Basically, a repeat of what has been done to construct the two new tracks on the south side.
Looks like March 30th is the date that the east end turnouts at West Harbour may finally be cut in.

LSE express doesn't need to wait. There's already enough triple track between Danforth and Guildwood for an express to overtake a local. And a two-track railway can support far more than the 8 trains per hour we're currently running during peak periods.I was hoping the four existing bridges would be replaced this summer following the LSE track shift that “should” occur by the end of April. Perhaps getting the four bridges fully replaced, a third track and the return of LSE express running by this fall is too optimistic. The return of LSE express would “only” be one year late.
