The City's AMO report shows they wish to reduce the life span of articulated buses from 18 years to 12 years starting in 2024.

The AMO report also showed they intend to spend $12 million for bringing Big Data to Brampton Transit.
How many systems get more than 12 years of life for articulated buses with NFI?

Surprised BT doing 18 years for articulated buses. Can see it for 40', but it should be no more than 15 due to extra cost to keep them on the road.

Mississauga has had a 12 year life cycle since day one with NFI and has had a hard time maintaining it that most have been retired before the 12 year with a few making it to the 13th. Those making it to 12 or 13th year required extra maintenance to keep them on the road, especially the last 5 years to the point special order were made for a few.

It will be interesting to see if the Nova Buses make 12 years

Nice to see on street charging as its the way to go and able to keep buses on route for the full day than replacing one with a fresh charge after a few hours,
 
July 2023 had 3,408,441 monthly passengers, up from 2,767,486 in July 2022 and 2,798,149 in July 2019. The way ridership is going, it will be somewhere between 38 and 40 million this year. Though the September service improvements are something - particularly where they expand to new residential areas, they are not nearly enough to handle loads on some of the really busy routes.

At this point Brampton should just annex the southern part of Caledon which is just a continuation of Brampton, and nothing like the villages of Bolton, Palgrave or Caledon East.
At least Caledon has been putting in bike and bus lanes in their new road expansions on the north side of Mayfield

Palgrave, Caledon East, Caledon Village, Alton, Inglewood, sure. But Bolton? Maybe 20 years ago, but now it’s all giant warehouses for companies like Home Depot, Amazon, and Crappy Tire. It’s more an extension of Brampton and Woodbridge these days.
 
This is exactly what I expected when they put out the weird schedules for the 501C. One of their replies on Twitter said that they would not implement more buses until the next service change in late October. Maybe this will be the big one of the year who knows, hopefully more buses and crews are ready by then.

It is effectively impossible for Caledon to create a functional transit system on its own due to the shape of the whitebelt, and as such, it is necessary for transit service in Caledon to be contracted to Brampton Transit. Bolton will likely get significantly better service once the third Maintenance and Storage Facility is complete, as that will significantly reduce non-revenue hours
