Too bad Radiohead's "In Rainbows" came out in 2007...
I keep having to check wikipedia to see when albums came out cause there are some stellar albums that I listened to this year that came out at the end of 2007. unfortunately it tends to take time to learn about new music, and by the time it gets around it's usually taken a few months to pick up steam. I mean, just look at the 2008 Polaris Prize list. Some of that stuff is still relevant but came out towards the end of 2007. There are some excellent albums I haven't got around to buying yet. I was salivating looking over Pitchfork and Iheartmusic's end of the year lists, and I'm pretty sure my x-mas money will be well-spent
That said, here's my list of faves released in 08, that I actually bought in 08. Not really any order, other than LC! having released my two faves.

Jason Collett - Here's to Being here
Brendan Canning - Something for all of us...
The Constantines - Kensington Heights
Land of Talk - Some are Lakes

It was a tough decision. I've listened to In Rainbows the most, so I figure, that's probably why it's #1 in my list. The Slip didn't feel like a proper NIN album to me. It felt like it was just a bunch of tracks that he recorded and slapped on a release.

Not everyone can produce endless concept albums.
To me, most releases sound like a bunch of songs slapped onto a disc. That being said, I have no issue with enjoying individual cuts exclusively.
Amnesiac is still my favourite Radiohead disc - by a large margin.

Oh I still like The Slip. I just listened to In Rainbows more.

Have to go with In Rainbows as well, though I must admit I don't keep up with music the way I used to. I'm one of those old school troglodytes who had trouble keeping up when Kid-A came along...

I really hope Oasis return to Toronto for a proper show. I really like their album.
