2018 Ontario Provincial Election Discussion

I like how the writer of that article essentially buries the fact that Loblaws owns T&T.

Loblaws and Galen Weston is a piece of work - remember the rationale behind REAL Canadian (haha) Superstore vs. Loblaws? The whole bread price fixing case and now T&T? It's really charming how some of these quintessentially Canadian icons seems to be more the egregious when it comes to screwing Canadians over.

This doesn't look good on the Liberals

McGuinty aide found guilty of destroying documents in gas plant trial
A former top political aide in Ontario has been found guilty of destroying documents related to a controversial provincial government decision.
David Livingston, who was chief of staff for ex-Liberal premier Dalton McGuinty, was charged with attempted mischief and illegal use of a computer.
The destroyed documents were related to the Liberal government's costly decision to cancel two gas plants before a provincial election.
Judge Timothy Lipson says Livingston was a sophisticated individual who knew exactly what he was doing.

Galen Weston is also one of the early critics of the minimum wage hike.

Just saw the news from the gas plants trial. So can we charge McGuinty too now?

And I still don't buy that Wynne was unaware of all of that was happening.

This kind of thing hardly helps! From Star.

Ontario’s new transportation minister has said she will make it a priority to look into bringing GO train service to her home riding, despite the fact ridership on the existing GO bus line there is the lowest in the region, and logistical challenges make upgrading to rail service a distant possibility.

This is what you get when most of a country's retail industries are essentially oligopolies.

Banks, telecoms, whatever the hell supply management is supposed to be, etc

Yeah, that's the every-party-ever-does-it fresh thinking I was told about when I mentioned the shuffle was a crass partisan exercise in trying to fool fools.

Now that Wynne has announced a new Minster of Transportation, what are the chances that GO train service gets announced to Cambridge in order for Wynne to show that transit planning is based on facts and not on buying elections? :)

This happened about 5 years ago. Why is the justice system so damn slow?

The waste of time, resources, and lives that is the "War on Drugs".
That's all. There isn't an actually decent reason for it. Just a twisted sense of morality.
