    Toronto Rushden Station | 138.1m | 39s | Fitzrovia | bKL Architecture

I am it's an unnecessary connection that would take a long time to build because you would have to dig under the Danforth and relocate utilities all to save a few minutes of walking. This location is nowhere near as bad as the one from Bloor station on the Up Express/Go train station to Dundas...

Probobly becuse neither Metolinks or the TTC see a reason to dig under Dnforth and relocate all kind of utilities just for a short pedestrian tunel.

    Ontario Science Centre

I don't think the province had anything to do with it. If I remember correctly it had something to do with the lease the R.O..M. had on the land it was on with U of T.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I looked it up and apparently trolley poles in general are either wood or metal. The pole itself doesn't conduct electricity it's the shoe or trolly that makes contact with the wire. The shoe has a pice of carbon in it that is used to conduct the power down a wire on the trolly pole. From what I...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

As in the trolly pole at the back of a streetcar? Maybe I was wrong about it but it sounds dangerous to me to have it be a conductive material as it can still touch the wire above if you aren't careful when handling it.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The section isolators don't have power. It's basically a section between two sections of power lines, that's why they would have signs for the drivers to proceed without power and only coast through them. what's your source on this? I've seen one of the maintenance team replacing a broken pole...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Huh?? That doesn't sound correct at all probably only necessary at switches and if the streetcar had to revers with the pole up otherwise the shoe would follow the wire Not true at all the pole is non conductive the only part that is the piece of carbon in the shoe that makes contact with the...

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

why would they use Metlonks as its garbage we don't need a random T symbol to tell people that something is a transit stop Metoloinks hired a consult to come up with a solution to a problem that was created for no good reason at all. They should have just used the TTC wayfinding on Line 5. 6...

Exactly I think I read something about wet leaves getting crushed to a fine powder by the train wheels and even adding sand causes wheel slip.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It basically means running simulated service without passengers. For example when the TTC was testing the Toronto Rocket subway trains they would run them and open the doors on the wrong side of the train a the stations or before the extension to Vaughn opened the ran trains empty from Sheppard...

    Metrolinx: Other Items (catch all)

Google does now especially if you have a Presto card in your Google wallet. It has an option to use a fare card for transit information now.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I did it in person one time and they were really good with it as well too. My guess is now that people have virtual cards in Google wallet and Apple wallet it's probably not as easy for them to do in the go stations now.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I had something similar happen when I didn't override a default trip but I ended up calling and they were able to fix it pretty quickly.

They've been doing that with a few locations. Bell entered into a partnership with Best Buy to run the stores instead of them continuing with the source.

Probably more likely that the TTC now has a date that they know they need to have it done by now.

Work has started on the existing unpaid fare hallway at Kennedy station. I was at it this afternoon and it's been blocked off with signs saying that they are working on it for the crosstown line

    Toronto Crosstown LRT: Kennedy Station | ?m | 1s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I was just at Kennedy station and the unpaid fare hallway to the go train is closed off with signs saying that it's for work related to line 5 Eglinton, looks like they are moving the fare gates in preparation for the opening of the line .

Completions of all the stations by crosslinks and the city of Toronto inspecting them to allow for them to be open to the public.
