    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

There will be bus service between Mt Dennis and Science Centre when the crosstown opens, so I would imagine that this route would simply be extended to cover the western extension as well. Refer to this doc for more details...

    Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (nCoV-2019)

The new UK super-spreader version of the virus needed a bit more time to complete its immigration to Canada and meet its new hosts.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Indeed. Metrolinx is only projecting a 15% reduction in crowding on Line 1 with the Ontario Line. This is completely inadequate over the long term.

    Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (nCoV-2019)

From the above article: “There is no current evidence to suggest the new strain causes a higher mortality rate or that it affects vaccines and treatments, although urgent work is underway to confirm this.”

Yonge Street, North York Streetscape Improvements

It would be helpful if you would get informed before going off on a rant. For the record, the plan is to rebuild Yonge Street after the ring roads are completed, as this is essential for managing traffic. In the meantime, it would be great to see bike lanes installed on the remainder of...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Crawford barely won against an equally terrible candidate who successfully pushed for the removal of bike lanes on Birchmount and Pharmacy in her ward, in a highly unusual election which pitted incumbent councillors against each other due to the province reducing the number of wards in half. If...

    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

I believe this is the same excuse to justify not raising this stretch of bike lane to sidewalk level when it was rebuilt, because "it would be too narrow for our equipment". So I look forward to another excuse for sloppiness to be eliminated going forward. Progress!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I found this great story on twitter about how an SUV family turned into a year round bicycle family. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1328483324659163136.html

Toronto about to get 10 new skyscrapers

A lot of those projects mentioned are still a long way away from "about to transform the Toronto skyline".

Last I heard, the Hearn was sold off by the province last year. How do you think we proceed from here?

    November 2020 US Election

Regardless of what the final outcome is, the Democrats have yet again failed to make a decisive win against Trump in a presidential election. The party really should take a hard look at what they're doing wrong, instead of just pushing Russia-gate and smearing progressives.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Send it to Stephen Holyday and his ilk. Maybe he will be less hostile to cycling infrastructure when its disguised as an expansion of the subway system!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

It would have been helpful if the study went beyond just Danforth to Cosburn. What about connections to the Leaside bridge for example? In that case, Donlands could suddenly be looking pretty good, at least from a cycling network perspective.
