I've been visiting and posting in Urban Toronto Forum since about 2001. As this phenomenon has already taken place in a Toronto development past, I believe the possibility of it taking place again in a new development is not something to be ignored, and something quite interesting to ponder...

I'm a big fan of the airshow at the Ex, and I try to go most years. This year the performers were pretty run of the mill. I had been hoping to see something cool like a Stealth Bomber or an F22 Raptor, but then I realized where they are all currently in use....:(

Did anyone read the "Renovation From Hell" article in Toronto Life? Apparently the ROM is doing much more poorly then expected. They are running a deficit instead of a profit.

Algomas Loony is just brilliant! I've seen the big Nickel in Sudbury and the big Loonie in Campbellford, so I guess I'll have to head to Algoma for a Giant Canadian Coin hat trick!:D

I have serious concerns about Bazis international, specifally with 1 Bloor and Emerald. They just seem so fly-by-night, and if there are problems, will said problems actually follow them back to Kazakhstan? (BTW, i have a friend who bough a unit at Emerald, and I still have doubts)

Are Omni and City usimg the hoarded off small brick building directly east of the Torch? (formerly a printing press) Do they plan to connect the two buildings, match floor heights and open the walls to create more space, or is this a separate project?

Does anyone on this site forsee any current tower projects ending up like the original Bay Adelaide centre? If so, which project is most likely to finish it's basement and then go no further?

Trump's tower's tapering effect has nothing to do with the city. Toronto approved this tower to be the tallest in the country. Poor sales dictated the final height.

There is a much nicer shot of Success 2 in the new Condoguide then in grey's example. The rendering depicts the tower as the glassiest of the four, without nearly as many concrete panels, and a roof element, which as I said is reminiscent of that on the Trump design.

Has anyone seen the rendering for Success 2 in the new Condoguide? It seems to be the best looking tower of the bunch. It's design is somewhat similar to that of the Trump tower.

Are there any pictures/renderings of the new spire, or the old one as it originally appeared?

Would anyone by any chance know if any elements of the Barton Myers addition will remain at all when the Ghery addition opens? Interior or exterior?

I just saw this and loved it! Epic storytelling, brutal battle sequences and a good sense of humour make this film worth seeing, and you even get to learn some Mongolian! "Macchh!" Oh, and I've been making that Mongolian battle cry/meditation noise for weeks now:D

I also remember a never to be repeated sighting... On new years 2000, I went to the party in the skypod of the CN tower, and saw the late, great Ernie Coombs nursing a beer all by himself. I suppose Casey and Finnegan had already gone home...

I just shot a video for the Liberal Party of a fundraiser at Liberal MP Colleen Beaumier's House in Brampton. Stephane Dion was there, and not only did I meet him, but I filmed him having a conversation with Colleen's pet parrot. The parrot laughed at him when he was asking it questions.

Perhaps the best conceptual rendering animation I have ever seen.

The new tower in the rendering blends in with the existing buildings seamlessly... but that's not saying it's pretty.
