    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

Rogers owns it and whether people call it Rogers centre or not they hear it when they listen to the game. They see it when they buy tickets. It’s constant advertising and for that reason it won’t change.

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

Well this is the thing... Things can change and public pressure may make it happen even though Mississauga people dont seem to be noise makers. But I was assured that the money wouldn't be flowing from this prime ministers office until at minimum 2029. The person said they believed Doug didn't...

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

this is correct... this is exactly what the government worker told me to my face who knew both Omar and Doug professionally. The person laughed that this was being taken seriously. "It isn't happening." I want to believe this person is wrong but I wouldn't bet anything against them.

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

There’s far worse ways to spend money but I was reminded that Omar had reached out to ford multiple times tying to make an agreement and ford had zero interest and the price keeps going up. The person did mention Omar is likely going to run for Mississauga mayor.

2024 Mississauga Mayoral Byelection Transit Plans

I hate to say it but I was in Ottawa recently where a high high high level government person basically laughed when I brought up the Milton line being converted assuring me that was not happening. The good thing about dundas is we don’t need anyone’s permission to build it.

Well in 10 years that roof will cost 1 billion and a new outdoor stadium 2.5 billion. They’re never moving.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

@michael_can on one page you’re blame bureaucracy for making a new downtown, on another that the government gives downtown the funds and everyone else scraps, but here you acknowledge that perhaps it’s the voters who are making the government choose one form of transit over the other. It’s never...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I thought that was the solution but I was recently informed that is only part of the problem.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It would help the people who have no where to live but by transit but who don’t like transit get around. Have a heart or should I explain to you the housing crisis.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

It would be cheaper to purchase a car as an incentive to boost density for every new condo owner in the Brampton core than to build this billion dollar mistake.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If they are paying more to rent beside a transit line for the luxury to use it once in a blue moon, while deciding to spend more money operating an expensive depreciating asset such as a car, then they are not as hard off as you make them sound. You’re are advocating for this line being...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

You’re advocating for more lanes of traffic in order for cars to move around faster. I would call that cars on the road. I have been in Toronto for 40 years of my life. I don’t need an explanation of the housing crisis or your take on the housing crisis. It seems odd to me that people would...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I don’t think the answer to the housing crisis is to encourage more cars on the road in places which should be pedestrian and transit friendly. The answer is to bring jobs to some of these denser locations.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I’m not the biggest fan of anecdotal evidence. I mean I know people on the other hand who live right beside stations whether go train or subway which rarely use the car. Maybe to buy groceries on the weekend. Everyone’s experiences are different.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Did I state something inaccurate. And I expect the further you go out the more car dependant a person to be. People with SFH and two car garages of course are going to be worried about road space. But people who buy condos right on top of a GO train station or LRT and in a walkable area are...

I think Bojaxs is from Oakville... I could be wrong... but that would explain the love of cars even more so than Toronto and its closest suburbs

We can also sell condos right downtown with far less parking spots than normal.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I would think that most transit riders would be heading first into Toronto via go and a distant second into MCC. And how much faster is the underground portion exactly. If it’s not considerably faster then how do you justify the expense or is there no limit to how much “rapid” is worth? Btw the...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The development which happens downtown Brampton should encourage people to walk, take transit and a very distant third use a car. As a result I don’t know why you would need to keep an extra lane for car traffic.

Streetsville is a wreck. I don’t care if Mississauga people want to act like it’s the crown jewel. It’s not. There’s a dumpy plaza with dollar stores and Tim hortons. Compare that to unionville which has Starbucks and boutiques and the whole thing is laughable. Good to see a nice mid rise.
