    Transit Fantasy Maps

Looks great - would you consider having the 510, 512, and maybe the 509 like the Transit City routes?

Westside Gallery Lofts (Urbancorp) - Real Estate -

I purchased in September, but then my agreement to purchase the unit (as well as the same units from floor 6-20) was cancelled due to "construction reasons". Two months later, I could buy it again, at the same price. The only difference being the options to have drywall and 9 ft. interior...

Westside Gallery Lofts (Urbancorp) - Real Estate -

What does everyone think about the 7 ft vs. 9 ft interior wall height? Curious what the ratio of 7 ft/9 ft? And does anyone know the statuses of the pedestrian bridge over the railway tracks, and Sudbury extension to Queen?

Hey dmose, I was thinking of keeping the concrete flooring. They haven't made an appointment for me yet, so I don't know much about the types of flooring. Do you know how the concrete will look like as is? And is it easy to polish it? And "as is", is it liquid permeable? I doubt the sales...

Does anyone know: A) that status of the Sudbury extension, and where it'll end up? Eventually to meet up with Gladstone? B) when Phase 2 will be completed, and what it consists of? C) the status of the bridge over the rail tracks?

Sam's Club closing down retail operations in Canada

^ They actually bought all of Réno-Depôt, not just in English Canada. Interestingly, RD was owned by Castorama of France, which itself was a subsidiary of Kingfisher, which operates the nearly-identical-to Home Depot chain in the UK (and elsewhere) B&Q.

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

They closed two months ago (or so). My friend's friend was a server there, and apparently the owners weren't paying the staff. They all walked out. Which is too bad, since the bison burgers were awesome. I went to Kramers thinking it was a suitable substitute, but not really (expensive for what...

    Canadian Tire

I was surprised with how much the Loblaw Great Food near me (Yonge and Yonge) had in terms of packaged gourmet food. Lots of Dufflet pastries too!

Yonge St south of Bloor: Will it become more upscale?

Purple building = former Shoe Company (whose colour is purple) I wish that stretch between Dundas Square and Queen were a bit nicer too. Even those fastfood outlets that were there are better than empty or one-off book liquidations. One of the two older buildings used to be a TD branch, I...

RBC Centre (LEED Gold, CadFair, 41s, KPF/B+H/&Co.) COMPLETE

I'm not such a big fan of the new RBC logo. I liked the old Royal Bank logo better.

    Malls get the 'destination' makeover

Do they really need two foodcourts? Maybe they can just reconfigure the north foodcourt into a nicer one. Seems to be a lot of unused/ill-used space.

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

I loved Topman! It'd be great for them to open in Toronto! They're opening their NY flagship soon this year, I believe. Strange to have them in The Bay stores though. I can't see someone at, say, Pickering Town Centre making it worthwhile. Maybe just their most "urban" stores. From the...

Shopsy's ordered to quit Front Street

Red Robin is a gourmet burger chain that's national (and some in Western Canada). Fuddrucker's is a specialty chain too.

Some more restaurants would be great for that area.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

How about a food court in the basement. There are lots of daytime workers in the area, and the College Park food court can get pretty busy.
