Now I'm hearing rumours over at Vintage Rexdale that the Woodbine secretly sold off the Fantasy Fair rides. Apparently, they are keeping
the transaction "tight lipped" for now while the fair is still operational.

Seems slightly plausible given all of the other auctions the owner set up a few months back.

Come to think of it, when the antique carousel was installed in the Fantasy Fair back in '85, all of the original wooden horses were auctioned
off to private collectors (and replaced with fibreglass ones). History might just repeat itself again.

The Woodbine's hideous wall tiles have found their way into a TV show.

According to Wikipedia:

The current owner did manage to screw that up too. Each end of the sky view ended with mirrors that created a more spacious never ending illusion.

It seems Woodbine's current owner was planning to rename the Woodbine Centre into "Woodbine Village". There's even a facebook page:

Given Woodbine's tendency to rename existing stores, I initially thought Gold Plaza had replaced Oliver Jeweller. Not the case (different section of the mall).
