It's very functional, but I wouldn't call it well-designed.I do not know much about Opus, but it seems like a well-designed system compared to Presto.
Opus is designed behind having to pre-purchase tickets on each system, rather than having a cash balance. So if you have $100 of Montreal tickets on your card, you can't use commuter rail or Laval buses. And as far as I understand, if you've bought tickets for 4 system, your out of luck, because it can't handle a fifth.
It's a much simpler, and much less flexible product.
