TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Once the tracks are remove, an EA will be require to put tracks back where tracks used to be if there is a need to do so.

Why move to the Fantasy Transit Plan Thread when these tracks and what been proposed was once part of TTC network

In 1948, they "temporarily" suspended streetcar service on Spadina Avenue (until 1997), due to a "electricity shortage".

In 1948, the North Yonge Railway radial streetcar, between Glen Echo and Richmond Hill, was also `"temporarily" replaced with buses. Today, they are trying to return rails (okay, they'll be underground) back. Yet they needed to use an EA. Now that's a very l-o-n-g temporary suspension of rail service!

Colossal waste of money. This should not be a priority at all. Improve service and clean the buses more. Most people have data plans or can survive without the internet for their commute.

What if you're stuck because of an "incident" and need to be at a "meeting" now? You could plug in your earbuds and be at that meeting while stuck. Even if it is only to reschedule your presence for a later time.

With the planned bus only lanes I don’t know how they’re going to accomplish that on Dufferin if it’s proposed to start from Dufferin Gate all the way to Wilson.

Translated: Waste a couple of years. Place on the list of possible budget cuts. Discover that dial-up internet is not possible, and finally decide to go with the slowest Wi-Fi speed and cheapest as possible.

Howabout they actually complete the wifi in the tunnels of the subway system that they said would be done in 2018 first...

I doubt it would cost the TTC anything though. The infrastructure costs would be paid for by the third-party provider in order to data-mine TTC customers.
