$600, 000 spread is close to 30% lower than the spread between bids. CRCE is the only other bidder who has done TTC work and were slow doing so that I know of. With Sanscon doing most of TTC work close to since 2005 that I know of, they know the end and out how to do TTC work fasters than others.

What is interesting is the bid price and contract award value with Sanscon still well be low it while the other are more close to it being above it. They may left money on the table in need of work with is common when one needs work for slow time or keep their key personal busy.

Based on the dated posted for this work here in the past, I wasn't expecting to see a December 31, 2027 completion date as noted above.

Just to refresh our memories of their work on Military Trail Road see: https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2023/ia/bgrd/backgroundfile-237381.pdf They were also the main contractor on the amazingly delayed project on Wellington Street a year or so earlier.

Cannot speak to Military Trail Road, but the city help to delay Wellington work. Not every contract will run smooth for various reason, but Sanscon has done more work than others that puts them in the lime line like Toronto Hydro who are known to be late most of the time as well Guild.

As someone who has photograph a lot of TTC work, very rare I have seen issues with Sanscon compared to others ones doing the work. Some issues were beyond their control to TTC not having trackwork ready for them.

I have seen them produce lots of deficiencies on their jobs, more than one a TTC job.

I can tell you based on my contacts in the City, they are not well liked and many staff are exasperated that Sanscon hasn't been banned from bidding.

I'll go so far as to say, I'm genuinely surprised you haven't seen more issues w/their work.
