TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I really wish the legacy Flexities had been equipped with Destos on the left side of the car...

With the constant diversions on the streetcar network, this would've been helpful.
Why?

Agree as I see no reason it should be on the left when riders get on the right. Now if it was going white in place of amber, I am all for it as a larger number of small and large systems have or in the process. Mississauga is going white starting with 2023 buses.

Went to Lambton today to checkout the report of 4632 and 4633 been there, but saw nothing and they could be hidden from sight.

Stop off at Hillcrest to see if one of the cars was there and a car was there. Talk about cars being out of order for delivery, the car at the loading dock was really out of order as it was 4644. Haven't seen this big gap in all the cars that have been delivery since 2017. There been a few cases where cars have been off loaded due to the number of cars at Lambton where CP took the closes one out of order.

Makes it easier to see from across the street if it's the streetcar you need to catch. The same idea Line 5 underground stations will employ by providing arrival information before even entering the building.

True to a point if you can catch the car in the first place trying to cross the street safety and on a route that has 2 or more lines. Since most TTC lines only see one line other than King or a line on detour, no need for that Destos. All underground stations will state the arrival time and no need to display the route number when there is only one line in the first place.

Otherwise, I cannot think of any system I rode on Europe having a Destos on the non rider side. I have seen Next vehicle signs showing when x will show up at a station that is service by more than one line with all lines time being display.

The route number?

Yes it would - though invariably it's to know which car you've just missed! :)

There was once though, I ran across the street (at a crossing) and jumped on - only to find out later it was a 501 not a 504! As much as putting them on the left would be nice. I don't know why they don't have any indication once you are inside!

4644 has spent the last todays after it started it testing and burn in on December 8

4627 is sitting on the overpass in Lambton yard waiting to be delivery to Hillcrest

Once 4627 is off loaded, TTC will have 31 of the new 60 cars on its property.

Friday December 27 saw 4636 delivery to Hillcrest to be off loaded sometime this week

4635 yesterday saw it completed its burn in
4633 went over to Russell Boxing day for SWIS work before entering service the week of January 5th depending on holiday work.
4644 will be interesting to see if it will enter service before year end considering it been here since Dec 2

4636 was off laded today at Hillcrest
4527 was moved to Russell on Jan 1s for SWIS work
4633 still been work on to enter service this coming week
4644 still has not enter service since its arrival on Dec 2 and should do so in the coming days now the holidays are over, It should had enter service in 2024 based on the past 18-22 days frame been used for the new cars now compared to the 8-15 days for the old ones..

It been said that 4468, 4534, 4568 are history unless something change down the road leaving 4471 & 4478 in the air if they will every return from Thunder Bay since they last saw service in 2018 and only months old when been flooded

4633 has enter service on 503 after arriving on December 10, 24 days ago. That was quick for my posting this coming week. It is tracking as no in service, but the trip log say in service.

4644 is now over at Leslie on the service track after arriving December 2, 32 days ago. It left Russell at 8:19 am

4636 is tracking since yesterday
