Unfortunate to see that Mike Yen is running for councillor. The guy is surprisingly misinformed on so many things. His utter and complete refusal of any tall buildings in the Entertainment District is so poorly thought out that he's likely to create far more problems for the area. As a conservative, he has at times a rather obtuse anti-business stance. He's happy to shove all planning decisions for the area to the OMB because he won't have to do anything. His interests are local and seem to solely revolve around preserving restaurant row exactly as is (which was screwed by the OMB anyway), preserving his views from his condo and keeping low-income people and students out of the ED (he is utterly opposed to the Mirvish proposal and seems to blame Vaughan for it).
