I don't understand, why cant they build condos without balconies? is it expensive to build without balconies? look at the top part of Aura, looks so nice. all these condos with balconies look so crappy I bet they would have looked amazing without balconies. even YC condos would look amazing without balconies.

The balconies are what give YC its unique and West Coast appeal! And a big balcony is a must for enjoying breakfast amidst a gale force wind.

Yea, I'm not sure why someone would want a balcony on the 50th floor but I guess the demand is there.

I moved to Ottawa recently for studies and I cant even stand properly on my condos 24th floor balcony, it's so damn windy. I wonder how people feel on 50 and 60 floor balcoies

Based upon the parts of this building that are not balconies, I am not sure how anyone could say this building would look "amazing" without balconies.

From my novice perspective, it looks like they are starting to take down the main crane? Workers up on the main arm, the cab is lower, and there is a whole lot of activity going on right now... or is it just some sort of repair?

You're right Larissa, that derrick is now there to lower pieces of the crane to the ground. There will likely be a smaller derrick erected next to lower the pieces of the first derrick to the group after that, and probably finishing up with a third, which is normally small enough to be disassembled and then take down to ground in the construction hoist.
