Tasty snaps, steveve. You actually managed to put a bit of lipstick on this pig. Two observations: the first word that came to mind when looking at the south-facing spandrel wall was 'opprobrium'; and the succeeding thought about YC's neighbor next door was 'competence.'

If you look at the balcony pattern and the colour contast, without looking too closely at the grey spandrel and cheap quality, it doesn't look half bad but that being said, with a little bit more attention to details, it could have looked so much better! Why not use white fritted glass on the white balconies and create a more dramatic contrast? Take off ALL that grey spandrel too! That podium is unfortunate!

Yea it's all in the details. Just terrible. Black and white will always have a sharp look.

IMO, this is a case where black and white doesn't look sharp. I'd apply this to G+C entire series of black and white balcony towers. It's not classy. It's garish and gaudy.

The black and white may have worked well on Karma. The exaggerated, faux shift blends together too much. Good chance it would have looked as garish and gaudy as YC.

I have to say, after thinking it over a bit, that the word "opprobrium" being added to my vocabulary is, beyond a doubt, the coolest thing to happen to me this weekend.
