i like how this tower diverges from the rectangular building typology typical in the area. The undulating facade is poised to look good imo
 
Curves and/or undulating wrap around balcony designs on a boxy form aren't that much of a departure for Toronto. This one is virtually a sister development to One Bloor with both standing plus 200 metres tall north of Carlton.
 
The tower's podium should have had a presence at Yonge Street in my opinion.
They could have moved the project to gut out all those rotten stores along the Yonge

They could not have: the City wants the low-rise stores on Yonge retained, and they don't want a lot more shadow on Yonge. What we want to see is those stores get some clean-up done to them, though.
