As far as I can see, the area behind it contains additional doors to the west Front Moat area and I assume these will be opened up in due course. Question: Will they also be relocating the Security Office (it looks a bit temporary to me!)?
^Pretty sure that's going to be retail space behind it. All of the doors to the west Front Moat area have been opened already (... unless that one that Amano had blocked off with additional temporary signage is still blocked.... can't recall)

Has anyone mentioned that the east corridor of the VIA Concourse has re-opened? The side channel that leads to the so-called Arrivals area, a.k.a. the Front St Promenade.

Also of note is the re-appearance of a water fountain in the VIA Concourse, near the gents' loo.

While passing through Union earlier I noticed they are working in and around the Leather Shop Bypass. They are putting stone up on the pillars and working on the bypass itself. Work was also taking place in the former arcade space as far as I could tell but I could tell specifically what was being worked on.

Something tells me the leather shop bypass will be opened soon.

Lastly, the Tims Kiosk is finally gone. It looks so much better without it there. Here's to hoping they can get rid of that god awful promo booth next to Wvrst and the security office.

The promo booth is probably the most profitable (on a per sq ft basis) tenant when it's in use.

You know what blocks pedestrian flows more than that promo booth. People standing slack jawed in the middle of the concourse staring blankly at the departure boards. MOVE TO THE SIDE PLEASE!

They should mark part of the floor along two axes (along with the area right in front of platform entrances leading to them) as "no standing zones". Fat yellow zebra stripes will do.

Or put the display screens along the walls so people are standing off to the side instead of in the middle of the concourse.

Or that, though I have my doubts about how quickly GO goes about anything involving rewiring (case in point - Presto readers in the teamways) - nevermind their general lack of sense when it comes to electronic signage. Marking on the floor takes no time.

I have a bone to pick with the placement of the Presto Readers. They are spaced out evenly in the Teamways.

However the problem is most people use the first Presto Reader when they enter the teamway causing a long queue and then they have to cross the crowds to go catch their trains on the other side.

It would make sense to have 2 or 3 presto readers installed at the entrance and place them in a way so people dont have to cross the crowds to catch their trains.

You'd think - but that seemingly never occurred to them. Hence my utter lack of confidence in their competence on such matters (I mean, they are still functioning on the belief that not showing platform information as a way to keep passengers down in the concourse/teamway).
