Toronto Transit Trivia

An amazing document about the start-up and first few years of the system (which was Hamilton-Pickering only with bus connections)

Only one train (the "best" train) stopped in Lorne Park, and that was forced by the well-heeled residents of the area that didn't want to have to go to Port Credit and Clarkson. It was removed two years later. Lorne Park never had the parking space and not in as good a location as off Southdown. People adjusted.

I'm not sure. I think it's underground, I seem to recall buses using a up ramp to get out of the terminal. But I could be mistaken.

It is below grade. Buses do use a ramp to enter and exit the terminal.

In the 1940s, when the subway was first being designed, what was originally supposed to be the most Northerly station?
