December 6, 2022 - Building F: The Tower Crane that begat the Derrick is now gone. The Derrick in its turn has begat another, smaller derrick, in order to remove the original derrick. Presumably, the components of this new derrick will be taken down by a hoist of some form.

The larger derrick (was on the left, and shown in the linked picture above) has now been taken down by the smaller derrick on the right.

I feel like this area needs some sort of modern cornice. Nothing fussy, just a linear projection to break it up visually. It's too thick, IMO. The proportions are off.

index exchange had 200 000 which was 6 floors. shopify probably has one of the lower levels which are actually quite big, could be 3-4 floors there.

i wonder what the repercussions are for this. I imagine there's a penalty though it's not clear. I had a feeling since 2020 they weren't going to move in there. with their hybrid WFH model, their existing space is now good enough with some light renos. The tech crash seems like it was icing on the cake but i imagine the decision was made before that and they've just been going through the legal process before announcing it.

Best to announce the setback news at the opening of the office tower and not before. An anchor tenant is a draw for others.
