Probably the issue- the entire project is well-executed, but rather stoic-looking- is this the architectural equivalent of parsley, just to give it some 'playfulness' and visual interest?

I hate that balcony glass motif. Otherwise, I think this is an excellent project.

I am not against the idea of a balcony frit / super-graphic (the breeze block ones at 100 spadina are very fun...) I just really don't love the graphic they chose and how it was deployed here. It reads very much as a vector pattern purchased from shutterstock just tiled on every other railing panel. If they had done a custom pattern that fit more with the sophisticated vibe of this project it might have looked better.
I personally think picket railings would have been a nicer choice on the podium, but what is done is done. Overall solid project. I like the growing street wall on this stretch of yonge.
