The buildings all have architectural features on the south side facing the lake, but the side that faces the city north is just window wall and balconies.

The "comb" framing feature reminds me of aA's 18 Yorkville--a classic example of its style.

This area was always defined by the Gladstone Hotel for me. These new buildings aren't ugly, but they seem somewhat alien across from the Gladstone. I would have preferred more fine-grain details in the facades and some subtle curves. A better public realm with ornamental lighting and a lush canopy of trees on Gladstone would tie the streetscape together nicely.
