Toronto needs the rail deck park so badly. too many buildings going up and no green parks...even small "parkettes" would be great.... but nooooo...they put up a huge buildings and plant 2-3 trees hoping that they make it. such bad urban planning.

It's been done in Dusseldorf Germany, and is also being done in Hamburg Germany with a 2 mile section of the Autobahn being buried with a park on the surface. I don't know
what the cost was, but it has been done and looks great. There was a scene in the British tv series Paranoid that showed cars exiting the tunnel in Dusseldorf. It reminded me
what Toronto could have, but i fear the cost will prohibit the project from ever happening.

There's a renewed park coming kitty corner across York Street from this building next year.

…but yes, we need more greenspace downtown.

The Rail Deck is the wrong focus- IMO the best option is to fix and improve existing green space and urban realms before embarking on massive frills like decking over a rail corridor.

There's so much that can be done around the area that would immediately make it feel less like disparate spaces- the $1 billion would go much further in doing this (and cover much more ground) rather than focusing on a single project.

It appears that from about the 30th floor the ceiling height of the floors changes from 8 or 9 ft to 10 ft or more.

My point is that all the uppers floors being built are equally high.

Interior ceiling heights for all suites minus the penthouse levels are the following:

Classic suites have 8'6" ceilings
Ten York collection 9'
Signature collection 10'

I don't think I want to stop showing my dislike for this development unless and until someone can permit my opinion. The reason why I dislike this so much is because I noticed a rendering that made HARBOUR PLAZA stand out more, and personally and mentally, this, when compared to HARBOUR PLAZA, would be a direct insult, in terms of positioning, density, and architecture
