Despite the havoc, it looks like they may actually get the job done. I think you just have to know how to speak to them.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Am I reading that right: the Telus tower is beginning site prep? Or is it the MLSE towers?

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Wandering hydraulic excavator, Torch is that away! Go forth and do our bidding!

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

3D: most excellent! I also commend you on an excellent use of your afternoon.

LOL!

Hopefully, a slight misalignment of the said cutting beams will take out a chunk of the Union Station train shed, as well as the entire mess between York and Yonge St. south of QQ.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

^^

Afternoon? Pshaw.... or Pshakespeare if you prefer.

20 minutes tops with Google on my right, PS on my left and a leaky peanut butter and honey (on Ace ciabatta mind you) in front of me.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

P.S. That is Tom C. and the excavator does indeed belong to a demolition company.... hmmm.... maybe SNF was right.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Good updates Ed (for this and all the other threads you have done tonight). That is going to be a busy little area for a few years it seems.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

All I can say is where's Are Be when you want to gloat?

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

If only it was taller. It seems like a waste to have a property directly attached to Union Station and therefore arguably the most accessible building in the GTA used for an office building that short.

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Probably skyline-contextual reasons for its being that way, y'know...

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

"Probably skyline-contextual reasons for its being that way"

?????

What reasons are those? The city has no 'skyline-contextual' plan, whatever that would be. The developer has only one thing in mind in a project like this - the bottom line. How does the 'context of the skyline' come into play for either of these parties? And where is the evidence?

Re: Telus announces new office tower in downtown Toronto

Wouldn’t this be considered an Are be Centre?
