Kitchener TEK Tower | 144.5m | 45s | IN8 Developments | srm Architects

SRM is our very own local Graziani & Corazza. Gah! They seem to be getting most of the tower projects around here. Not usually atrocious, not often a pleasure - they're charting an unwavering course through the serviceable heart of mediocrity.
I live across the corner from a WZMH building from the '60's - probably one of their first. It's really well-handled, and elegantly stood the test of time. That kind of quality should really be the basic standard for new construction here.
At least you don't really have Vrancor or Coletera developers from my understanding. They're not only using G&C but they cheap out on everything. One of Vrancor's apartment buildings has unfinished parts despite everything else being done 2 years ago. Oh and Vrancor has like 30 commercial units in the city and hasn't rented a single one in any of the new buildings.

It's hardly flying upward, but slow and steady...which isn't unusual for the first lower levels. At least it's continuing. Shots looking northwest to west, walking north.

Another aerial photo from WR Connected. Looks like they're forming the walls of the fourth podium level, meaning they're just surpassing halfway on the six-floor site-wide podium. This emerged from the ground at the end of May, so that would suggest the podium will complete and the faster tower floors will begin some time in February.
