Toronto Seventy5 Portland | ?m | 11s | Freed | Core Architects

Note that there is also a proposal on the location of the orange building to the right. Similar height/massing as 500 Wellington.

Anyone know how much of this "view" will eventually be blocked by 500 Wellington? If 500 Wellington will take more space than just the building to the left, then my guess is half.

Any idea?

More than 90%.

504 Wellington is the building to the right that will be torn down and replaced with a +34m building.

500 Wellington is the vacant lot straight ahead. It is slightly shorter than 504 Wellington.

The gap between the two buildings at the level in the photo is somewhere between 1-2m.

SpadinaBus,

A hotel was proposed for the lots immediately west of 504 Wellington. have you heard anything more about that one? It's kinda vanished into the woodwork.

All three of these proposals are to supposed to be served by the little lane way behind them (to the north). That ought to be fun.

Honz38, Thanks for the pic. How did you get this pic from inside the building? And what floor is this taken from?

Walked by today and noticed they have a bit of glass up on the 1st floor. Walking down Stewart towards Portland you already get the feeling that this building is unique and going to be a stunner.

Here are some pics from Saturday:

Thats a bit harsh, no? It looks like the glass on 550 (excluding the sexy hotel portion).

No, It does not seem to be the same glass or frames that are being used on 550. Maybe are just the frames that make that bad look. I don't know, maybe if you look closer you will notice what I am talking about.

Hope to see Freed capitalize on this unique venture with Yoo, Starck design and see the overall exterior finishes speak to it and not just blend into masses. Apparent plans to open public stores on ground level.

The picture was sent to me by an agent. I'm sure they have access to the building unlike the rest of us. I believe this is taken from the 4th floor, on the northeast corner.
