This thing has a beast of a podium but the tower appears slimmer than I had expected, from along Queen St.

Can't wait to see cladding! Its nice to see a new building under construction that isn't all glass, let alone a design unique there as this! My fav building going up right now, should be a stunner

I was a little nervous at first about how this was going to look from Queen, but now that it's going up I really like the way it forms a backdrop, especially with the way the massing steps back how it does. I'd be very satisfied if buildings like this, Five, and Nicholas set a new trend for larger towers rising behind our two and three storey commercial streets.

That's precisely the feature that I despise. I'll take a strong abrupt street apron almost every time. I'm not a fan of set backs one little bit, they provide no shade for pedestrians, and will make for an extremely messy looking street with buildings pushed back arbitrary distances from the sidewalk.

Yonge has the potential to be a dog's breakfast if we keep allowing set backs: AURA, One Bloor, Five, etc.

Umm...I'm pretty sure one of the overarching goals of urban planning / urban design is to mitigate shade from buildings wherever possible and ensure sun / light for pedestrians.
