8 years until the subway station opens officially. This isn’t going to sit abandoned for that time though, it’s the main launch shaft location for the TBMs. It’ll be a busy construction site for years.

The City are continuing to press the Province and have them officially transfer the strip of land south of the First Parliament site and north of Parliament Square Park to the City so that they can separate cyclists from pedestrians at that pinch-point. It is agreed in principle and it will be good to get this done, the actual physical changes needed are quite minor.

Historical structures uncovered recently at the Corktown site.

Any idea which part of the site and when 'recently' is?? I suspect this is on the "First Parliament" section of the site (southern) and could be part of the City Gaol or the gas works.

The mounds of dirt is starting to grow, but nothing drastically different from a few months ago.


How come none of the Ontario Line pages show up when I search for it? Can someone teach me how to actually use UT Search??

my understanding is work here right now is limited to Archeological investigations, with primary construction starting in the spring once the Ontario Line South contract closes.
