I was wondering what was happening there - it didn't even occur to me that it would already be for the OL.

it has been talked about before. believe its for the exhibition early works.

Demolishing is just getting rid of the stuff that would be in the way for the construction. It can lie fallow for months, allowing for the ground to settle. Could be used as a parking lot in the meantime.

Early works/demo work is also starting in the basement of the Hudson Bay store at Yonge and Queen. I think the Building Permit was posted earlier in the thread.

Well, I did post that the permit was 'under review'............it appears they had a hiccup:

They got flunked on 'Structure'.

Noting the above demolition photos, @mburrrrr posted the O/L related construction work that has begun at the First Parliament site in the thread for same.

Err...why is there a big tent being put up there... "Think of Time Team, Uta." ...oh! As noted earlier, it is to protect the folks doing the archaeological investigation and would seem, to me anyway, to indicate they have found more than they expected and are moving (have moved?) to a Stage 4...

I wonder if Ford will announce a new, earlier launch date for the Election Line.

It will probably get promoted as much as possible.
Also sink a bunch of costs into the project so it can’t be cancelled or used as campaign promise to cancel. ….. Or less likely too be cancelled but the neighbors will complain and the contractor sues when it does. Does this sound familiar?
