If only they take anti-social behaviour on their system as seriously.

All of these updates are still with respect to the overall rail corridor and not the ontario line per say,. Thea actual ontario line specific track construction hasnt actually started in the lakeshore east corridor from what I can tellI'm quite surprised how much transparency they are giving for the ontario line, given their history of secrecy for other projects.
It won't for some time. They have only just started the northern expansion of the corridor, so it will be a couple of years before they will be ready for installing any track in that section.Thea actual ontario line specific track construction hasnt actually started in the lakeshore east corridor from what I can tell
The Crosstown had many updates until problems of underpinning of Eglinton station couldn't be resolved...
Anyone remember that the YNSE is supposed to be one of the 4 "Priority Subway Projects"?I agree with @Kyle Campbell above... I find Metrolinx isn't shy about what has happened/accomplished until something goes wrong...
The Crosstown had many updates until problems of underpinning of Eglinton station couldn't be resolved...
The Scarborough subway had an online tracker for the TBM, then updates stopped once it got to the 401 and it paused for 'planned maintenance'...
Go RER/expansion/1.0 had regular updates about time savings, project timelines/goals, consortium takeover...until dates stated to slip: onexpress, electrification, LSE express trains to name a few...
Metrolinx has a history of celebrating every little aspect of project progress/work (sometimes in excess), but they struggle being overconfident with project goals. When problems arise, they cover up by delete online project materials, and become silent and/or obfuscate.
You'll know something goes wrong when they stop talking about it.
YNSE is gated on the Ontario Line and Bloor Yonge Station Expansion, both of which are happening, so the prerequisites for it are being slowly resolvedAnyone remember that the YNSE is supposed to be one of the 4 "Priority Subway Projects"?
... anyone?
Community Meeting: Ontario Line Construction Safety
Posted on February 28, 2025
Join me, MPP Peter Tabuns and TDSB Trustee Sara Ehrhardt for a community meeting on Ontario Line construction safety.
This community meeting will take place virtually on Thursday, March 6th at 7 p.m.
Register Here
As you will have heard there was a horrific accident at Mortimer and Pape when a community member was struck while crossing the street by a Metrolinx construction truck that was not following the approved ‘haul route.’
We are all holding her in our hearts during her recovery.
This terrible incident has highlighted many safety questions with Ontario Line construction relating to:
Safety has been a main focus for our community since day one of this project.
- safe street crossing for school children and seniors
- the need for extra crossing guards
- TTC bus routing
- Metrolinx contractor compliance
- and more
Please join us to discuss your concerns and suggestions to keep our streets safe during the many years of Ontario Line construction.
Great shots! Is it just me or does the width of the railway get constrained just beyond the Logan bridge and almost get a little wavy on the new wall? I guess the OL will be stealing land from the townhome development that abuts Logan and first? They have a large hill with lands behind the development that I suppose Mx is planning on taking for the OL?Update on the Lakeshore East corridor.
Queen Bridge. My question regarding girders being installed over the existing old section instead of demolishing it was answered. The girders were for the gap between the new & old section of the bridge instead.

The fence is the edge of Mx owned land. All necessary property expropriations and demos on the north side are complete.I guess the OL will be stealing land from the townhome development that abuts Logan and first? The corridor will be 6 tracks wide. 4 for GO and VIA +2 for Line 3How many tracks in total will the leslieville section have after the OL is built? 2 for lakeshore, 2 for stouffville and extra for via?
Thank you! I see that construction fence now so in this area the corridor will lean more heavily to the side on the left that will need to be filled in. Got it!The fence is the edge of Mx owned land. All necessary property expropriations and demos on the north side are complete.
