I would never buy a condo in Etobicoke. There are houses nearby that can be bought for reasonable prices. The whole point of condo living to me is being close to all the action.

Ya. It's a 5 min drive downtown out of peak hours. I have absolutely no intention to ever leave this area. It has everything I need.

1 August 2013: I miss the old motel strip--it had way more character than more bizarrely suburban setback concrete & glass vertical suburbs like this one rising:

I think the #1 reason nimbies are so active against developments is they've seen the past decade's condo boom with the vast majority being eyesores like here.
