yes there is grade level retail in the podium ~

Surprised to see Lumiere actually has 4,339 sq ft retail space, which covers more than 3/4 of the total length of Lumiere facade facing the Bay...

Why "that SLAB" is so much thicker than the lower ones?

That 'extra thick slab' is the roof of the podium section ~

I was at the site yesterday analyzing it, and the slab isn't so much of a giant slab, it is just an L - ish shape. Probably better for weight and space.

The "slab" is a design element rather than a structural thing.

Lumiere from above - Sept 27

Long time lurker, first time poster, blah blah blah. Figured it was time to start posting a few pics, since I spend enough time on here...

At any rate, here are a few pics with a new perspective on Lumiere, taken Sept 27th, looking north from the 28th floor of College Park II (south tower).

It's coming along nicely: just about the same height as the medical building just to the north of it at 790 Bay, for now. And soon I'll be losing my view of Queen's Park... ah well.

Next up: cladding?
