I really wish more can be done to enliven that channelized portion of the Don beyond the removal of outdated infrastructure.

There are options. But not, as yet, the funding required to deliver them.

Had a looked at the westbound Lake Shore new road and bridge over the Don today. Lots of work still to be done for both area. They have built stairs from the raised south side walk to get to the road to cross it. Where are the accessibility ramps to get from the raised sidewalk?

3/4 of the westbound lane is paved west of Booth and the whole road stop about 100 feet from the DVP..

Eastbound traffic was a madness for drivers with the Gardiner Close and the marathon taking place on Eastern Ave that drivers by the dozens where making that illegal left turn and all lanes were forced to make that turn by the police which was odd considering southbound DVP traffic could make a left turn.

By the looks of the the over the Don, about another week or two, the west side pier will be fully built. We could see steel beams place on those piers in November or December.

Photos will follow a later unknown date due to my backlog and only working on Sept 17 photos now.

Very little left of the plug with only a few steel piles with all concrete gone to be remove.

WT are usually very good at designing/building stuff but there are several problems with the 'curbs' at the bike track along Commissioners. This one (at Old Cherry & Commissioners) is particularly dangerous and I saw somene run into it and get thrown off on the weekend - not hurt but ....

I emailed WT so hope it is dealt with - not very visible in daylight and probably invisible at night.

...that "curb" looks to give riders their oomigoolie bird moment. >.<
