One L Tower, Backstage, 157 Front W, etc. are in there, it'll be a challenge to even get the "main CBD" in that shot.

The CBD still needs to expand east of Yonge though.

The St. Lawrence neighbourhood doesnt seem to want that to happen...they have good reason from a heritage standpoint.
It would have been nice to see something taller proposed for Colborne St, granted it would have been difficult to successfully integrate it into the St Lawrence area

Not necessarily the St. Lawrence area, I like that the way it is now, going for an "old town" look. I mean north of Adelaide, which has a lot of potential to expand the CBD, with many large surface lots still there.

Anyone care to guess,

Or do we know??
Between Trump and Shangri La, which will have the LCD lite strip, on the nite sky first???

I think they will both make great additions! ( The light features) along with CN and RBC, the LCD show, will really transform the look of the skyline starting later this year!!

Coming in from the west, the 4 lites will be pretty cool.. ( Is RBC, only on the east edge of the building?)

I also wonder, will they all change color?? Or be able too?? And if they will ever work in concert with each other? (a la Hong Kong)

Trump's will likely be on in time for the March Grand Opening. Shangri-La's lights aren't a strip, but sconce spot-lighting of an aluminum strip running up the north and south sides of the building. RBC's lantern is most easily seen from the east, even though it peaks over the rest of the roof. RBC also features more subtle LED lighting along the north side facing David Pecaut (Metro) Square.

I am with you.
St Lawrence Market should not be over developed. However, from Adelaide to Queen East, between Yonge and Jarvis, there are so many empty lots just sitting there waiting to be developed to add density to our skyline/CBD.

I actually feel disappointed that Trump Tower sits so close to ScotiaPlaza, as they end up blocking each other adding little to our skyline. If the 277m buildings sits anywhere in the lots above, our skyline will look a lot more balanced.

No, this is highly unlikely. It would take nearly 100% productivity to complete this to the bottom of the Onion Dome, and given that February is one of the worst months of the year for wind, I wouldn't give it great odds. The strip may be partially lit up, but I don't see it being complete all the way up and around the spire.

What, It doesnt make sense for Donald Trump to come over to Toronto in March for the grand ribbon cutting, when this building isnt fully finished and still under construction...i say it gets done or put off till June. There is no way these guys (investors) will be happy if at R.C. it doesnt have all the BLING.

They were removing the concrete pump while I was there and miss the lowering of it. There is a photo showing the shaft being lifted out. Steel framing going up on both sides.
