It would be great if the city and the broader public sector took more of a beautification approach to these as forms of city-building.

There's no doubt that they could be arted up in some cool and interesting ways.

Snapped two pics of Bishop's Block on my way to work this morning. It's looking quite nice!

That is impressive. Nice picture. I would say judging from this they really get true craftsmen to recreate this given they had to mix replacement brick with old pre-existing brick. This looks like a first class effort.

Snapped two pics of Bishop's Block on my way to work this morning. It's looking quite nice!

If you take a look to the left of the photo you'll also notice that they've been putting up new cladding above the main entrance. I was under the impression that it was going to be wood panelling? Maybe it still is and it's just what's underneath it?

Wow.. they took the brick building apart, replaced some of the old brick with new brick, rebuilt it, and it STILL looks like it was kept there from the original building..

Quality workmanship work right there..

I initially thought it was great they were doing heritage work but thought it was going to just be OK.

Seeing this I am impressed that it blends old with new. the more we see, the better this gets.
