I hope Etobicoke City Centre turns in to even half of what NYCC is today (not to say NYCC is amazing per se but it certainly has it's pros). For one it's fairly lively due to all the restaurants in the area; this area on the other hand is not even close to that and is a ghost town pedestrian wise for pretty much all of the day.
Increased density will change that, but if we keep seeing laughable proposals come forward (ie: Pinnacle's joke of a master plan for Etobicoke, and the Six Points plaza mess of a proposal) than we're in for a lot of trouble.
This project will bring the density, but we need other developers to bring actually useful amenities, retail space and useful park space. You know, not wind-swept useless parks fronting car sewers, or illogically set out plans that back away and act as barriers to major roads.
