Anxiously awaiting brick on the arches. The best details always seem to take forever.

I can't say I'm liking the Kingly condos. The building has a kind of "stuck-on" quality that mars the office portion.
 
It's unfortunate what became of the residential portion, and that precast brick crap is a scourge on architecture in this city. This design deserved much better.
 
I actually don't mind it- it breaks up the materiality of the building and prevents the building from seeming too monolithic in massing.

I do wish the brick was more textured though, it blends together at a distance.
 
I am liking the window treatment on the condo side. It's reminiscent of loft buildings you'd see in Chelsea in Manhattan, especially if they avoid having balconies all together (though if they're inset it wouldn't be as noticeable).
