The base looks like a jumbled mess but I like the tower. It stands out among the sea of blue, grey and green glass bores so it’s a win for me.

I much preferred the older design of the tower but the lack of balconies is refreshing, and the grid pattern still makes for a more robust looking building. The podium seems awkward and top-heavy. It may have looked better if they had carried the top portion of the podium down to the street, or at least balanced the materials better by not going almost exclusively with glass and paneling through the ground plane.

A new First Nations-themed mural on the south side of Grid is being revealed. It appears to be inspired in part by the works of Norval Morrisseau.

It'll be rediscovered when they re-redevelop that site 80 years into the future!

i doubt the Grand will redevelop soon - that previous proposal on the site was pretty clearly tailored to ensure that Grid provided the 12.5m setback to their property line.

First time I've noticed the illuminated rooftop mechanical floor...

Mural is fantastic - wow does it ever add life to that spot.
And nice light feature too. Not spectacular, but nice.
