Ushahid is right. When it was a 66 storey building, Eau du Soleil was going to be 205.25m plus 16.95m for the mechanical penthouse, or 222.2 metres total. The 3-storey height reduction takes approximately 9 metres off the building, and down to 213 metres.

So what is happening to eau du Soleil? Are they going to start this year?
Also why does it take them so long to build this project. They have this year, next year and year after next to build
this. That should be almost too much time to aim for 2017 occupancy.

Why is Eau du Soleil taking so long?
It's not taking so long, that's a typical build time for a development of this size. Once it starts (not sure which month), it's likely to take half a year to dig the full excavation pit, half a year to get back to ground level, then the lower floors will take quite a while here: they are huge. Now that the taller tower is shorter and the the shorter tower is taller (by 3 storeys each), it should take less time to build the towers. (Essentially a floor per week on the towers.) 2017 is perfectly sensible for finishing.

No, read the post above....

The OPA and Zoning are basically approved. The OMB hearing continues in June for the site plan, to be heard together with the 2175 Lake Shore site plan.

They're not even done constructing the sales centre. A year? Two? A little premature for that question methinks.
The new permanent sales centre is being built to the immediate west of the site where the tower is (and in the future park space), so it won't have to be moved during construction.
