I really did arrive all ready to hate it. I haven't foreclosed on the possibility, either. But I was sold on the light show. That flickery business they did before they lit, you know - building towards the climax - did the trick for me.

Excellent. Someone's a bigger geek than me. Or a Bumpkin or whatever I'm supposed to be for being there last night.

Just joking. Seriously wyliepoon - nice job :)

When the Leafs make tha playoffs this year, hopefully they'll light it up to blue and white!

Hey... I was there too. I was thinking afterwards that what would have been cool is to re-enact the music and light of the spaceship in Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the radome and observation deck and reply to it on playing notes and colours on the elevator shaft. :)

Is the tip still not lit?

They should light the tower underneath the observation deck (glass floor area) as well as the red ring around the observation deck.

So is the red and white the standard colours or is this just for the Canada Day weekend?

The very top section of the spire is not lit. I presume red & white are for Canada Day weekend, don't know what the "standard" will be. I guess we'll see on Tuesday night.
