What's taking them so long to install that signage anyway? You would think CIBC would want their logo up and back on the skyline pronto.

One (unconfirmed) reason may be that this building won't be getting signage treatment on all four sides, and deciding which sides takes a lot of considerations. If only two are granted here, the next two will be going on Phase II's North and East facades.

I don’t think that’s why, because they wouldn’t have put it up first on literally the least visible side (on the inside of the North side of the building). Pretty sure they’re just delayed in getting the signage. Initially they installed the old logo for some parts (ex. By the ATMs, wayfinding) that only recently changed over.

What is planned for the old office space, is that silver building going to try to attract new tenants?

Although it’s called Commerce Court West and has a huge CIBC logo in the lobby, CIBC actually leases very little space in the West tower before Square, and now, basically none.

Before the pandemic, inside info was Laurentian Bank Tech has a rather large presence there and would out up their logo. Don’t know if that is the case anymore.

Note in these first couple that 160 Front is now visible from the Yonge Street side of the CIBC Square site.

And we'll finish w/a slightly different look at the rail corridor passing under the POPS
