I felt some people were being a bit hard on the brick panels in another thread, I think they have some charm!

They remind me of the type of bricks/tiles you see around Japan with a little bit of extra jazz thrown in.

Great pictures, Skycandy. The brick is growing on me. When you see it along the length of the building, it almost looks three dimensional.

Perhaps overshadowed by its impressive neighbour to the immediate south, I think this one is shaping up to be something quite special. I like the muted earthy tone of the brick along with the patterning effect. Great streetwall impact along Cooperage Street as well. Cherry & Mill corner will obviously be the star of the show, but I didn't grab any shots this time.

I like how Canary Commons mechanicals is just poking out in the second pic. They’re gonna get dwarfed soon.

All of the Canary is still coming into its own, but it's already a really nice place to hang out with a kid, and will only get better as more people and businesses move in.

I peeked into the old Canary Diner building and the ground floor space has 14 foot ceilings! Very impressive space. I like the brick and would say it was Danish or Dutch inspired if I didn’t know its Indigenous motif. Photos taken 8 May.
