I'm very interested in seeing how the heritage homes turn out. In the early '80s as a young man I lived at 565 Sherbourne and I walked past these buildings every day on my way to and from the Sherbourne subway to go to work. Even back then these Victorian homes were completely boarded up and in a dilapidated condition. I am now 66 years old, and I will finally get to see these homes restored and occupied!
My god...that last shot really blows me away. I recall taking some photos of The Selby when it was getting close to topping out, and finding it fascinating how these older, abandoned homes served as a compelling contrast to new construction multifamily homes.
Taken 2 January. Noticed that there will be an alley on the north side as well as the fact that the heritage house is not integrated into the building. Finally is the little entry structure on the north side a new entrance for the subway?
