I had a laugh a few days ago while shooting the site.
A dump truck was leaving the site and the ground gave way to the point the front left tire was next to the shoring pile and and the body would be damage if the try pulling the truck back.
The only way they were going to get this truck move was with the big hock.
There were 3 other dump sitting on Gladstone for loading. The day was done for them at this point.
I have a closeup shot of the wheel along with the current site.
Looks like Streetcar Dev is turning this area into a Freedville-esque, urban micro-colony. Great stuff so far!
The mid-rise projects north of Queen by Streetcar Dev will be pound-for-pound so much better than the project southside of Queen along the railway lands. Too bad Streetcar didn't develop those rail-lands, tremendous amounts of missed opportunity there.
And the crane is scheduled to go in Monday Jan 23, starting at 8 AM. Anyone going to be in the neighbourhood over the day who might like to get some photos?!
