Toronto 550 Wellington West and 1 Hotel | ?m | 15s | Freed | a—A

A consent application was posted on Bathurst St. for 550 Wellington Street West to sever the property into two parcels and to create non-exclusive easements. It will be considered on December 2, 2009 at 11:00am in Meeting Room 2, Toronto City Hall.

Does anyone know the meaning of this?

Could the easements be related to the use of Wellington as a loading area for the hotel?

I can't see how they are related at all.

Well the building is using the city street for loading and unloading of hotel folks. An easement is defined as the use of property in possession of another person for a stated purpose. Thats all.

I could understand one easement from the City's property (ie. sidewalk) for the unloading/loading area, but don't understand why the need to parcel the hotel's property. Not sure.

outdoor lighting was being installed today on balconies, see this picture

Great photo update!

I love the colours on this tower-- and it stayed so true to its renderings, which I remember as setting a very high standard.

The dark grey trim colour is consistent and attractive, the powder blue glass is nice rich in colour, and the dark wood doors are a perfect touch to finish off the street level.

Very nice :)

Looks like a set of lights are going up between Niagara and Wellington West on Bathurst. A cross walk? This most likely means no intersection lights at Wellington West and Bathurst.
